Former Bad Boy artist, Shyne, is getting out of jail a year early for good behavior. Shyne has been serving a 10-year sentence at Woodbourne Correctional Facility stemming from a 1999 New York Club shooting. Shyne was part of a group with P. Diddy and his then girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez. Mathew "Scar" Allen and three people were hit with bullets when a gun went off in the club. Shyne signed a $3 million dollar deal with Def Jam from behind bars in 2004 and released the album "Godfather Buried Alive" but album sales were dismal. Though being released for good behavior, Shyne hasn't always been a model prisoner. In '05 he was thrown in the hole for two months after getting into an altercation with another inmate.
Mr. Ratner, Jay-Z, and Barclay’s are all linked through the $4 billion Atlantic Yards project in Brooklyn, for which Mr. Ratner plans to build a Frank Gehry-designed basketball arena for the Nets and more than 6,000 apartments. Jay-Z, a partial owner of the Nets, has been a major supporter of the project, appearing at press conferences to tout its merits. Barclays owns the naming rights to the arena, and has been accused of having links with the slave trade—an accusation the bank denies.
In the claim, Mr. Campbell said that Mr. Ratner and Jay-Z worked “in concert” with Barclays, and “profited from the African Slave Trade and continue to profit from these gains, through a conspiracy dating back hundreds of years and continue to date to oppress Black people, enslave them, unlawfully deport them to all corners of the Earth.”

Some may say who is John Issacs??????? To most who grew up in The Bronx within the last 40 years who attended the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club after school know him as Mr. Issacs who runs The Club.
Most of us may not know that Mr. Issacs was a professional basketball player who played with the Harlem Renaissance. Can you imagine how tough it must have been to be a black athlete back in the 1930's. We can say that he helped pave the way for a african american athletes today. I am pretty sure he took a lot so we wouldn't have to.
I know him personally, but to look at him you would not think that he is in his 90's.
From us here at The GHOODLIFE, we would like to thank Mr. Issacs for providing a place for us to have fun, and stay out of trouble. There were several positive influences that made sure we did the right thing like Sandy, Pete "Young Man" Cepeda, Jeff, Ruben, Big Randy!
If you lived in the Crotona Park East Section of the Bronx, you know where you were going right after school to play ball, shoot pool, swim and get yelled at for running in the halls..LOL "The Club".
Weather you were an Explorer, Junior, Intermediate, or Senior you remember Mr. Issacs.
Marc Stein of ESPN.com is reporting that Mavericks forward Devean George has exercised his right to veto a trade to the Nets, putting the brakes on the blockbuster deal involving Jason Kidd.
The deal was agreed upon by both New Jersey and Dallas, but George informed the team just before they submitted the deal to the NBA that he wouldn't agree to the move.
His one-year contract includes a rare provision that allows him to veto any trade he's involved in.
Who do you you think you are Devean?????? Kobe....Mike...... Hell to the naw!!!!
Why does he even have a no trade clause in his contract...he aint that nice!
