80's Gangster Larry Davis Murdered in The Slammer!!!


Corrections officials report a New York City man who wounded six police officers in a 1986 gunfight that led to a nationwide manhunt was killed in an upstate prison.

A New York State Department of Correctional Services spokesman said Larry Davis was stabbed to death at about 7 p.m. Wednesday while on recreation break at a yard at Shawangunk Correctional Facility in Ulster County.

The spokesman said they are questioning another inmate in his death. Spokesman Erik Kriss said Davis was fatally stabbed with a 12 by 1 1/2-inch homemade metal shank in the arms, head, back, upper thigh and chest.

Davis was serving 25 years to life in prison after being convicted on murder and other charges.
