Clive Campbell aka Cool Herc Sues Jay Z and Others For 5 Billion

Mr. Ratner, Jay-Z, and Barclay’s are all linked through the $4 billion Atlantic Yards project in Brooklyn, for which Mr. Ratner plans to build a Frank Gehry-designed basketball arena for the Nets and more than 6,000 apartments. Jay-Z, a partial owner of the Nets, has been a major supporter of the project, appearing at press conferences to tout its merits. Barclays owns the naming rights to the arena, and has been accused of having links with the slave trade—an accusation the bank denies.

In the claim, Mr. Campbell said that Mr. Ratner and Jay-Z worked “in concert” with Barclays, and “profited from the African Slave Trade and continue to profit from these gains, through a conspiracy dating back hundreds of years and continue to date to oppress Black people, enslave them, unlawfully deport them to all corners of the Earth.”

Jay Holiday Got Knocked!!!!

Back Of My Lac

J. Holiday aka Nahum Grymes was arrested in Maryland on Thursday night for possession of marijuana after being pulled over for speeding. He had just finished performing at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore:

“There was visual observation of marijuana on his person, on his front shirt, and that coupled with the odor of marijuana, Mr. Grymes was arrested for that. A search of the vehicle yielded a nominal amount of marijuana in the center console. J. Holiday and one other occupant, George Jackson, face drug possession charges.

Honestly are we really surprised?????? If you have his album, other than "Bed" and "Suffocate" all he talks about is that sweet Chiba..LOL

Lupe Fiasco Contemplates Retirement

Lupe first made remarks regarding retirement back in November, but now seems more resolved than ever. When asked what is currently the best and worst aspect of rap music he declared flatly, "Rap music." Though he wouldn't elaborate on his enigmatic response he did go on to say he was "85% sure" he would be retiring soon. "It actually fluctuates," Lupe continued, "It was 96% about a week ago…I just get tired you know? I get tired. It's a tiring pace that I keep. You see that [show I just did]? I gotta do that again tomorrow. With this [hoarse] voice I gotta find a way to do it again. Then get on a bus for 16 hours, get up and do it all over again for the next two weeks."
But along with the daily stresses of coping with the demands of performing, it seems that Lupe has also grown bored with the industry. When DX inquired if the reality of fame and success had lived up to his expectations, Lupe responded, "I realized stuff that was exciting to me [when I found fame] was stuff I was already doing. A lot of the stuff that people would equate with success, I was already doing at like 19. So now that I'm here at 25 it's like …[there's not much left to excite me]"

Smut News Of The Day: Remember Him From Blackstreet He Was Black As The Street Was

I don't know if this is true or not, but that's why it is labeled Smut News . You see where I got the pic from...

Who knows..........

Chauncey Hannibal (AKA Chauncey Black), a former member of the R&B group Blackstreet was arrested in California for non-payment of child support and has since been extradited to Virginia where he's being held at the Virginia Beach City Jail.

A spokesman for the jail said that Chauncey, 39, was extradited on charges of grand larceny, desertion or non-support of a spouse or children, and failure to appear in court on an unrelated criminal charge.

MediaTakeOut.com has learned that Chauncey is currently being held without bond. He's scheduled to see the judge today.

Chauncey's larceny charge stems from allegations that the former R&B star looted a three-bedroom, $592,000 house after he had been evicted in July 2006.
